about

Hi, I'm Shana

The story behind The Graceful Mother

I'm not a doctor or a midwife. I'm a woman who grew up in a culture where Traditional Chinese Medicine was woven into daily life — and who later watched Western women in an acupuncturist's office in Southern California conceive naturally, many of them after being told their options were running out.

That witness planted a seed. The Graceful Mother is what came of it: faith-rooted resources, TCM-inspired guidance, and the kind of care I wish someone had shared with me.

Whether you're praying for a baby, preparing for birth, or healing in the fourth trimester — I'm so glad you're here.

Rooted in faith. Refined through real experience. Shared with love.

What I'm Walking With You Through

Three sacred seasons of motherhood — and the wisdom to walk each one.

Conception

Preparing your body and spirit for the gift of new life — through faith, nourishment, and TCM-rooted wisdom for women who long to honor how God designed them.

Birth

Birth as God designed it — informed, peaceful, and rooted in confidence rather than fear. A return to the way mothers have brought life into the world for generations.

Postpartum

The sacred fourth trimester — restoring your body and soul through ancient practices, nourishing foods, and the kind of rest our culture has forgotten.

What I Believe

That God designed your body with profound wisdom. That ancient practices and modern faith are not at odds. And that no woman should walk her motherhood journey afraid.

Common Questions

You’ve got questions. I’ve got answers.

Are you a doctor or a midwife?

No — and I'm intentional about saying so. I'm a woman sharing what I've witnessed, lived, and learned through faith and Traditional Chinese Medicine. The Graceful Mother is educational and inspirational, not medical advice. For medical questions, please consult a qualified healthcare provider you trust.

Is this only for Christian women?

The Graceful Mother is rooted in Christian faith — that's the well I draw from, and you'll find it woven throughout my work. If that resonates with you, you're home. If you're spiritually open and curious about a faith-rooted approach, you are more than welcome here too.

What is TCM (Traditional Chinese Medicine), and why is it part of your work?

TCM is a centuries-old system of healing that views the body as an interconnected whole — not a collection of symptoms to suppress. It honors how the body actually works, especially women's bodies. I share TCM-inspired wisdom because I believe God's design for our bodies and ancient practices that work with that design are not at odds — they're complementary.
